Friends of Roxbury Social Services (FRSS) was launched in 2009 to help the staff of the Roxbury Township Department of Social Services meet the needs of their clients. FRSS, a nonprofit organization, provides emergency assistance to clients of Roxbury Social Services when funding resources cannot be obtained elsewhere.  It is governed by an all-volunteer board of directors. To preserve the anonymity of clients, FRSS interacts only with Social Services staff to learn what resources are needed by clients. FRSS financial resources come from donations and local grants.
